We are SO proud of all our team. At the 2023 SPASA Awards of Excellence we won 5 Gold Awards, from 5 nominations. All the hard work, dedication and blood, sweat, tears and laughs were worth it!
The SPASA Awards of Excellence are the premier awards for the swimming pool and spa industry, featuring entries from all regions of Australia and New Zealand. These awards celebrate outstanding achievements in construction, design, manufacturing, supply, products, retail, and service. Each year, regional winners compete for the top prize of national winner in each category, recognising them as leaders in their field. The award winners were announced at a gala dinner in Auckland on 23 June 2023.
It was a special evening celebrating the best in the field. The team ‘scrubbed up’ well!

Gold Winner Retail Service Technician – Lee Houghton
For the third year running Lee picked up the Gold award for Retail Service technician. The Trifecta! We couldn’t be prouder. Lee has worked with us since we took over the business, back in 20124, and her knowledge, customer service and friendship is second to none.
Gold Winner InField Service Technician – Alastair Wood
For the third year running Alistair picked up the Gold award for Infield Service Technician. Originally from Scotland, Alastair is a delight to work with and is so good infield at looking after your pools and spas.
We couldn’t be prouder of the whole Poolside team. It was an amazing evening, but much more importantly all of the hard work and commitment, week after week, helping our customers enjoy their pools and spas, was recognised. Thank you to all our customers who continue to support us, trust us and help us make Poolside Christchurch such an awesome business.
